Mary Lynn does not use complicated equipment to take photos – just a standard 35mm camera with a couple of different lenses.  Once the first set of photos have been printed Mary Lynn analyzes each one to see how they can be improved.  It is then that the real creative process begins.  The negative is scanned into the computer at the highest resolution possible.  Mary Lynn then uses her expertise to remove leashes, collars, shadows, people, and basically anything that detracts from the main subject of the
photo - the dog.  When that is complete the final color balancing is done and a high resolution print is made.

In this world of digital manipulation Mary Lynn prides herself on maintaining the integrity of the dog.  She will not alter any physical characteristics like making tails straighter or feet smaller, even though it would be very easy for her to do so.  And, the final computer files can be easily sent to magazines for advertising purposes ensuring that the reproduction of the photo will be of the highest quality possible.  No re-scanning is necessary.
